The Gospel & the Ghastly Heart

The words of Jesus are gracious and must be headed lest he should go away. It is not a lack of evidence that causes unbelief but an unwillingness to listen to the words of Christ. Through the power of the Spirit Christ sets people free to hear His words and have new life, and in that believers can give thanks. Believers have gone from being slaves to sin, in which they could not resist sin, to being slaves to Christ, in which they can not resist doing the things of Christ.
